veterinary Technician
Veterinary Technicians are an integral part of the team, and work to support the veterinarian by providing outstanding care for our patients in all areas of the hospital. As a technician at Wrigleyville Veterinary Center, you can expect to fully utilize your technical skill set in an environment that is committed to teaching, training, and supporting our techs (while still having fun!).
Primary responsibilities include anesthetic monitoring, venipuncture and diagnostic sampling, laboratory procedures, generalized nursing care, and client communication. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, quick to respond to medical emergencies, have a knack for problem solving, fantastic communication skills, and a strong passion for veterinary medicine. Previous vet tech experience is required, and certification/licensure is preferred.
veterinary assistant
The Veterinary Assistant role at WVC is multi-faceted and provides support to all areas of the veterinary hospital. This position is responsible for assisting the veterinarians and technicians throughout their daily caseload, keeping the hospital and medical equipment clean, stocking supplies, assisting the grooming team, and filling in wherever necessary to help ensure each patient receives outstanding medical care.
The ideal candidate will be a flexible, motivated team player who has experience with animal handling, restraint, and experience working in a medical setting.
Client Care Coordinator
Client Care Coordinators are responsible for ensuring each client has a fantastic experience at Wrigleyville Veterinary Center from start to finish, and we are in search of polished, professional candidates with excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service to fill this role. Primary responsibilities include managing a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, checking clients in/out, maintaining organized electronic medical records, and making sure the lobby is a clean, comfortable place for visitors to wait.
The ideal candidate will pay great attention to detail and be an expert multitasker. Computer proficiency and outstanding people skills are a must for this position.
Boarding & Daycare Supervisor
The boarding and daycare center at Wrigleyville Veterinary is designed to offer pets a chance to socialize, exercise, and receive top-notch care from our team of experts in a fun, safe, healthy environment where veterinarians are on site in case any issues arise. Our massive boarding and daycare facility will be unlike any other in Chicago, and we are in search of a Boarding and Daycare Supervisor to ensure it runs like a well-oiled machine.
This role will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Boarding and Daycare departments, leading and training staff, and implementing protocols that drive efficiency. Previous experience in a boarding or daycare facility required, management experience a plus.
Boarding & Daycare Assistant
Boarding and Daycare Assistants are responsible for not only making sure that each pet’s needs are met during their stay, but also for going above and beyond to offer the pets of Wrigleyville the five-star experience they deserve. We realize pets are like family and leaving them can be tough--that’s why our boarding staff will be expected to treat each pet as though it were one of their own and tend to each pet’s individual needs, from exercising energetic puppies to ensuring senior pets are able to rest comfortably. This includes monitoring eating and elimination habits, bathing, socializing/exercising/interacting with pets in a safe manner, administering medication to boarding pets when necessary, detecting signs of stress, and keeping the area clean, organized, and comfortable for our visitors.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced animal handler with a desire to do whatever it takes to help pets enjoy their stay while their humans are away. Did we mention the daycare is baseball-themed (Cubs fans preferred)?
GROOMER
In addition to keeping pets happy and healthy, we also want them to look their best! Our grooming salon at Wrigleyville Veterinary Center will offer everything from simple bathing to creative cuts and doggy nail art, and we are searching for a talented groomer who has a passion for pet styling. The ideal candidate will have experience working in a high-volume grooming facility and have excellent animal handling skills. Formal training or certification preferred, but not required for highly-skilled applicants.

Virtually every service your pet could ever need is provided under our roof. We take the full-service concept to heart, offering everything from general wellness medicine and grooming to doggie daycare and dentistry. We also offer extended hours and appointments!
Plus, we offer the convenience of “full service” visits: Drop off your pet in the morning for a relaxing stay at our pet resort. We’ll then take care of their exam, vaccinations, grooming, and anything else they need while you’re at the game or at work.
